Explore Mossman Gorge, home of the Kuku-Yalanji tribe. This is 1 of the best rainforest walks in Daintree National Park: 1,5 h easy circuit trail; also great swimming holes. You may choose to experience this "traditional" land with a native guide, a rare insight into aboriginal culture.

Crocodiles are quintessential to the Tropics; you may choose to discover them in their natural habitat cruising the Daintree River or visit the very informative and entertaining Hartley's crocodile Farm.

The Tropical North is a naturalist paradise: fantastic fauna and flora, birds and butterflies.
Far North Queensland has in fact the largest avifauna of any region in Australia. It is home to over 350 species of birds which can be seen or heard within many various habitats which most are in the vicinity of Sea Change B&B:
- The Daintree rainforest - 10mns away
- Various swamps: from Julatten - ½h to Hasties swamp near Atherton - 1½h
- Various lakes: from Lake Mitchell passed Mt Molloy - 3/4h to the Tableland lakes - 1½h
- Dry country: between Mt Molloy + Mareeba - 1h - to mudflats and reef - 1½h
Newell Beach is also home to many birds: up to 50 species have been sighted within walking distance from Sea Change B&B by previous guests (list available) and is the only place in Australia where "Barn + Red Breasted Swallows" can be seen.

Spend 1 day diving or snorkelling the magic Outer Reef on one of the 1st class Great Barrier Reef cruises departing daily from Port Douglas.

Drive north to quaint Daintree village then take the ferry across Daintree River and spend the day leisurely sightseeing your way to Cape Tribulation. This is a wonderful scenic rainforest drive dotted with magical white beaches. This is indeed where the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage Rainforest meet!

A little further afield lies the scenic Atherton Tablelands (alt.800m); spend 1 day leisurely driving through various landscapes and sampling some of the locally grown organic delights:
- Rainforest - Savannah (edge of the outback) - Volcanic hills - Rolling pastures - Lakes - Waterfalls - Quaint country towns - Fertile land: orchards, crops, dairy...
- Mareeba is famous for its coffee; Malanda for its cheeses and chocolates...
